Got the Barrington Monkey off our back! Good aggresive win in front of
a decent crowd for 1st home game. Crowd will build as we play better and
win more. Still too many fouls! We need to work on seeing ball at ALL
TIMES help and recover defense (recover to block passing lanes) and
get loose balls. We missed a lot of offensive opportunities--missed layups
and fouls shots! Offensive execution could have been better--play uptempo
defense and make smart decisions offensively! Time to defend as

Great Team Defense especially in the second half. Seneca
Yearwood plays outstanding (hitting 2 huge three pointers in the second
half to help extend the lead). Nick Andrade harasses people on the
defensive end and scores two big lay-ups in traffic!! Another great team

REPEAT as Lou Sinyei Tournament Champions! Great weekend. Allowed too
many points (althought CE shot extremely well) but we were able to
outscore them. The best start of a game I have seen this team have. I
think it was 15 to 4 or something like that - we scored on 6 of 7
possessions. Jay Horta (MVP with 32 points) and Derek Lacroix (All
Tournament). Outstanding team weekend. We look very impressive
passing the ball always looking for the open man---don't lose that! It is
very special! 4-0 an off we go! DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE GAME:

Way to take care of business. Long bus ride to play a physical team in
a tough gym... but you took the starch right out of them. Lots of
defensive pressure unselfish playo n the fast break and in the
normal offense. We were actually up 32 at one point.

Good enough to win on an afternoon where we played poorly. They
outhustled us, were more physical, more aggressive and more intense!
The WORST defense we have played to date! 44 points in the second
half! We didn't execute things well- especially our press
break. FUNDAMENTAL TOWNIE BASKETBALL was one of the keys to the
game...and that is NOT what we did. Derek Lacroix and Jason Horta
were superb (29 and 25 each). Marcus Maddox and Tshombe round out
four players with double figures again. We continue to be a very
unselfish and very good passing team (which is excellent) ..... but WE
didn't do the little things well enough today. In our league that
game is a 10 to 20 point loss!!! Time to refocus on the defensive
side of the ball and make sure we know and understand that we were lucky
to get away with one today! By the way ... GREAT DUNK MARCUS!

A big win to end the pre-season against a very good team. Ponaganset
will be in the top of their league and they had already beaten two teams
from our league. We started slow...then took it to them. Great
defensive intensity (lead by Yearwood Maddox and Walker) and
continued unselfish team play. Maddox and Yearwood did a great job
on Pezzullo- a very nice player! Four players in double figures again

Good way to start league play! Stated slow and
although we had a lead at half time..I did not think we were playing hard
or smart. Second half intensity much better!! We got loose balls and
rebounds that we didn't get in the first half and that directly lead to
points! Four in double figures agian (Lambert-23
Yearwood-14 Stedman-13 and LaCroix-11). Nick Andrade
played very intense in first half to help us through! Well done Nick. On

Difficult game. 65 Points!!! We can't do this and expect to win
in this league! We didn't finish this one out. Up twelve in the
second half before we went really stagnant on offense. We let momentum
slip away and Mt. Pleasant took it to us in the second half. We
needed to rebound more talk less and take care of things. Learn from this
lesson!! The season is a marathon not a sprint! It is one game in a
long season and just a loss...not a tragedy! We have had our share of
tragedies in EP this week (Police Officer killed 4 year old
dies in fire ). Get back on course. Hope on Thurs! No rest for the

OUCH! I think we were overlooking this game. We
turned the ball over way too many times and didn't execute as a team when
we needed to. We need to trat the ball as precious--not something we
haphazzardly throw around. This is a good team--BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO
GIVE THE BALL TO OUR OPPONENTS 20+ TIMES!!! We lost defensive
assignments threw the ball away in key situations didn't
slide over to help defense or to take a charge and YOU WERE
PHYSICALLY DOMINATED! Don't let this happen again. This is a
repeat from a previous game note: We need to be completely ready

Tough game! We start out OK but Classical gets in our face and we
didn't respond. Turnovers are killing us right now. We really need
to treat the ball as a precious gift and not give it away or let anyone
take it from us!! Turnovers and second shots are directly leading to
points! There were some good signs last night: good start, good
intensity 2nd half, came back to challenge three times in a tough
environment. We could have easily folded up..but we had to four
twice and five once!! These are signs that we can muster up some guts when
needed. We also need to muster up whatever it takes to prevent us
from going down!! We need to be tougher in moments of stress and
adversity. It is still January and it is still a marathon.
We play in the toughest league in the toughest gyms against the
toughest teams...everything is not always easy. We just need to batten
down the hatches ...set Zebra and prepare for the long battle ahead!

started out slow (actually down 15-4) but started to play some DEFENSE.
Finsihed the half with a lead. Opened the 2nd half on a 17-4 run. Superior
interior passing and execution combined with great defense. Hendricken was
one shot and done most of the night! Derek Marcus and Sene
handle the point while Zack and Tshombe controlled the defensive
boards. Nick Andrade shuts Baron out and causes hate and discontent
the entire way! Derek you took a lot on your shoulders last night

Great second half. We played hard (minus about 3
minutes before the half) the whole night. MP is a very very quick team who
we are likely to see again in the playoffs! It was nice to see the
ball going back in for Derek! Take a look at the FG% --- quality
possessions usually mean we have a great chance to score! Great 4 minute
stretch defensively where we stole the ball or gave them one shot and
converted on offense. They went man to Man for about 3 minutes and
we got a couple nice backdoor looks and a post up. Well done. 17-20

Good teams win ugly..and we did. We allowed a layup of an opening tap
(it was a defensive tap!!) awful defense first half (40 points!!)
turned the ball over way too much (unforced) and didn't move
offensively. We stood around waiting for something to happen.
This is another lesson that should have learned. You were lucky to get out
