4/17  PERRY EARNS PROVIDENCE JOURNAL SECOND TEAM ALL STATE BASKETBALL HONORS.  Sophomore guard, Bobby Perry continues to collect post season award.  The best was saved for last, as Bobby was selected with nine other players in the state, to the Providence Journal All State Basketball Team.  The teams are selected by writers from the Journal who cover Rhode Island Interscholastic Basketball.  Of the ten players selected to the first and second teams, Bobby was the only sophomore.

4/2  AWARDS CONTINUE TO ROLL IN FOR TOWNIES.  The Times All Area Squad was announced and four Townies received recognition.  Seniors, John Booker and Dave Caruolo were Honorable Mention selections.  Sophomore guard Jared Awokande, was a Third Team All Area selection, and sophomore guard Bobby Perry was a First Team All Area pick.  Each team is chosen by the Sports Dept. writers for the The Times Newspaper.  Bobby and Jared are 2 of only 3 sophomores to be selected in the top 15 players for the area.

Both Bobby and Jared played extremely well in the RIBCA All-Star Game, which was held at Rhode Island College on March 16th.  They led their team to victory, and Bobby was voted the game's MVP.

John Booker was voted to the All-Tournament Team during the Rhode Island High School Championships.  This is a well deserved honor, as Book closed out the season with four consecutive double-doubles (points and rebounds.)

The last award is certainly one of the most impressive achievements that any student athlete can achieve.  Senior, captain Dave Caruolo, was selected to the Academic All-State Team.  Dave is one of five players in the entire state to receive this award.  Dave will be attending Brown University in the fall.

All of the above players will receive their awards at the Coach's Association Awards Banquet on April 14th.

The final season statistics will be posted soon!!!!

3/12 ALL-STAR GAME RESCHEDULED DUE TO STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS BEING POSTPONED.  The RIBCA All-Star Game, which will have Townies Bobby Perry and Jared Awokande participating, has been moved to Wednesday March 16th, at 6:00 and 8:00. The games will be played at Rhode Island College. Bobby and Jared will be playing in the 8:00 contest.  There will be a Slam Dunk and Three Point Contest in between the games.

3/10  TOWNIES LOSE STATE SEMIFINAL GAME TO CENTRAL 54-46.   EP played a tale of two halves in their semi-final game vs. Central High School.  The team came out a little timid and nervous and that played into a lack-luster first half.  EP managed to shoot only 27% from the field in the first half and that includes 8% from three point range.  EP trailed at the half 29-18.  The second half was a almost a complete turnaround.  Sparked by senior captain Randall Araujo's pressure defense and two three's, the team picked up their intensity.  The Townies managed to a take the lead at 45-43 with about 6 minutes left to play.  However, the team expended so much energy climbing back from their deficit, that there wasn't much left in the tank.  EP went cold for a two minute stretch, between the 4:00 and 2:00 minute mark, which proved to be their downfall.  Senior, John Booker had another double-double, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Sophomore guard Jared Awokande played a solid all-around game with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals.  Overall, the Townies finished the season 16-7, and won their first Division Title in a long time.  This season marks only the beginning of what could be a very good team in the coming years.  A special thank you goes out to our departing seniors, John Booker and captains, Randall Araujo, and David Caruolo.  These three young men have truly exemplified what it takes and means to be a Townie.   We wish them the best of luck in the future.

3/8  TOWNIES STATE SEMIFINAL GAME VS. CENTRAL POSTPONED BY INTERSCHOLASTIC LEAGUE, NEW DAY AND TIME.    EP's game at 7:30 with Central HS has been postponed by the Rhode Island Interscholastic League due to the threat of snow.  The game has been rescheduled for Thursday the 10th at 5:00. The bus will leave at 3:00.   The team will have practice tomorrow at 2:30.

2/28  THREE TOWNIES EARN POST SEASON AWARDS.  Sophomore guards, Bobby Perry and Jared Awokande both earned First Team All-Division Honors.  Senior center, John Booker earned Second Team All-Divison.  All Division Honors are given to the top 10 players in each Division (4 Divisions).  Bobby and Jared, with their First Team Selections, will be playing in the Rhode Island Basketball Coaches Association Top 60 All-Star gameThe games will be held at Rhode Island College at 1:00 and 3:00.  Bobby and Jared will be playing at 3:00.  This is the day after the State Finals.  Adding to his 1st Team All Division Honors, Bobby Perry earned First Team All-League Honors. This award means that he is one of the top 5 players in all of Division 1 (all Divisions combined).  These are tremendous honors, and each of the players has worked extremely hard to earn these accolades.

2/26  2005 DIVISION 1 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYOFF SCHEDULE SET.  East Providence earned the #3 seed and will face Div. 1 Central champ, Central H.S. (14-2) at 7:30 on March 8th at CCRI in Warwick.  The other semi-final has #1 seed Bishop Hendricken (15-1) vs. #4 seed Cranston West (11-7).  Hendricken and Cranston West will play at 6:00.  The Championship Game will be played on Saturday March, 12th at 8:30 at the Ryan Center at URI.  Directions to all sites may be found at www.riil.org

2/25  TOWNIES WIN DIVISION 1 EAST TITLE WITH VICTORY OVER MT. PLEASANT (64-50), ON SENIOR NIGHT .  EP had a solid team effort in defeating a tough Mt. Pleasant team.  With the victory, the Townies also clinch the third playoff spot in the State Championship Playoff Semi-Finals.  EP will most likely face Central H.S. on March 8th at CCRI in Warwick.  The Townies came out very tight and missed a lot of early shots and had careless turnovers and trailed 28-26 at the half.  Mt. Pleasant shot very well and hit on 63% of their first half threes.  EP stressed defense in the second half, and the team produced.  The Townies held the Kilties to 30% shooting from the field and 205 from three in the second half.  The Townie D was sparked by junior guard Dave Ferreira's 4 second half steals and two break away layups.  Senior forward Dave Caruolo sparked a second half offensive run with two deep threes.  The Townies had four starters in double figures and John Booker had his third straight "double-double," (14 points, 11 rebounds). EP now focuses on a Central squad that lost only twice during the regular season and beat the Townies in Providence, back on January 7th, 78-69.  The Townie JV squad closed out their season with a solid 65-55 win.  Joe Whalen led the Townies with 20 points.  The Townie JV's had a solid year, and with a team comprised of mostly sophomores, battled hard in every game.

2/22  TOWNIES BEAT HOPE (56-40), TURN FOCUS TO MT. PLEASANT ON SENIOR NIGHT.  The Townies bounced back from a sub-par performance on Friday to defeat a pesky Hope squad.  The Townies led at the half 27-13, even though they shot 29% from the field.  The Townie defense slowed down the Blue Wave and kept them on the perimeter where they shot 20% in the first half.  The Townies warmed up in the second, shooting 54% and had some easy baskets forced by solid defensive pressure.  Once again senior, John Booker had a "double, double", with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks.  Book is becoming a dominating force inside for the Townies.  Bobby Perry had a solid all-around effort adding, 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.  The Townies now turn their focus to Friday when they face league foe Mt. Pleasant.  Not only is it Senior Night for Dave Caruolo, Randall Araujo, and John Booker, but the Townies can lock up the division title as well.  EP must be prepared as the Kilties gave the Townies a tough game the first time around, and are playing well.  Game time is 7:30.  The Townie JV squad lost their game 49-41.  Brad Lavoie had a team high 10 points.  The JV squad dropped their opening round playoff game to Smithfield, 44-34.  The team played exceptionally well and gave the Sentinels all they could handle.  The game was as close as two with 2 minutes remaining.

2/18  TOWNIES LACK INTENSITY AND FOCUS IN LOSS TO LASALLE (44-40).  The Townies just didn't bring their game with them to LaSalle.  The team had no sense of urgency in a game the could have clinched the division title.  EP struggled against LaSalle's 2-3 zone, didn't shoot well (30%) and turned the ball over 15 times.  The lone bright spot for the Townies was senior,John Booker's.  Book had 10 points, 16 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 blocks.  EP is now in a fight for two of the last spots in the State Championship Final Four.  EP next faces Hope HS, who is sure to be a tough opponent.  The game is on Tuesday the 22nd at 7:30.  The Townie JV team dropped their game, 57-54.  EP had a terrible first half, but performed much better in the second.  Joe Whalen led the team with 20 points.

2/15  TOWNIES HAVE BREAK OUT OFFENSIVE GAME, DEFEAT COVENTRY (85-43).  The Townies finally broke out of their shooting slump (52%) and played solid team defense to pick up a much needed victory against Coventry.  EP forced the Oakers into committing 27 turnovers.  EP had 12 steals and numerous deflections.  Sophomore guard, Jared Awokande led the team with a game high 24 points.  However, the entire team played a solid all-around game, which led to the victory.  Hopefully this will give the team some much needed confidence and energy going into Friday's game at arch-rival LaSalle (7:30 tip-off).  It was a double victory night for the program, as the JV squad won 57-51.  Joe Whalen once again led the Townies with a game high 20 points.  The Townie JV team will be playing in the Junior Varsity State Championships this Sunday vs. Smithfield.  The game will be played at North Providence HS at 1:30.

2/11  TOWNIES SHOOT 20% FROM THE FIELD AND LOSE AT SOUTH KINGSTOWN (57-43).  EP managed only nine field goals for the game and also had twenty turnovers as they drop their second game in a row.  This marks the first time this season the team dropped consecutive games.  The Rebels shot lights out in the first half (62%) and led 29-16 at the break.  EP next plays Coventry, at home on Tuesday at 7:30.  The Townies can't be concerned with playoff positioning, just getting back to playing consistent, soild basketball.  The EP JV also lost their game.  The JV will soon begin their State JV Playoffs, most likely next weekend.

2/9  TOWNIES LOSE TO FIRST PLACE HENDRICKEN (57-38).  The Townies traveled to Warwick to face the defending state champs and fell to a 10 point run with about 10 minutes to go in the half that gave Hendricken a fifteen point cushion.  The Townies had 16 first half turnovers which led to many easy baskets for the Hawks.  The Townies trailed 32-12 at the break, but showed some toughness and determination by playing a solid second half.  EP outscored the Hawks 27 to 23, but could never get the margin below 14 points.  The Townies now have a very important game Friday night at South Kingstown (7:00).  The Townie JV squad dropped their game 67-38.

2/7  TOWNIES REBOUND WITH A BETTER EFFORT VS. TOLMAN, WIN (62-56).  East Providence came back off their worst loss of the season and got back on track by defeating a scrappy Tolman team.  EP starts their toughest week of the season (three games, 2 on the road) with a solid first half performance, and then struggled through a foul marred second half.  EP led at the break 31-22, and extended the lead to 14 but second half foul problems put Tolman in the bonus with 11 minutes left to play.  With every foul called, the Tigers went to the line.  This slowed the game down and had EP off their rhythm.  The team fought through it and made crucial free throws down the stretch.  The Townies were lead by John Booker's double-double, 16 points, 11 rebounds, and also 4 steals and 1 block.  Guards, Bobby Perry and Jared Awokande each had 13 respectively.  The Townies next face defending state champion, Bishop Hendricken on Wednesday in Warwick.  Game time is 7:30.  The Townie JV team picked up a win by the score of 52-48.  Joe Whalen had a season high 38 points, including 9 three's. Read a story about the game from the Providence Journal

2/4  TOWNIES COME OUT FLAT AND GET SOUNDLY BEATEN BY NORTH KINGSTOWN (67-46).  The Townies simply didn't come to play in the first half, and the Skippers took it to them.  North Kingstown shot a remarkable 71% from the field and dominated the first half, as they led 43-22 at the break.  The Townies played an even second half, but could never get the lead below 14 points.  The Skippers went to the foul line 29 times, compared to East Providence's 2 trips.  67 points are the second highest total the team has given up this season, and this marks the end of the team's 5 game winning streak.  EP must now regroup and get ready for a tough 3 game week.  The week starts at home, Monday vs. Tolman at 7:30.  The Townie JV dropped their contest 53-39.

2/1  TOWNIES START THE MONTH WITH A BIG WIN AT RIVAL ST. RAY'S (56-53).  The Townies once again pulled out a tough victory on the road.  It is always tough to go the St. Ray's and win on their small floor and against a tough crowd.  EP jumped out to a great start making their first 4 shots and taking an early advantage.  St. Ray's continued to battle and EP went cold about the 9 minute mark.  The Saints extended their lead to 11, a deficit the Townies hadn't seen since the Central game.  The team pulled themselves together and junior guard Billy Miller sparked a late first half rally to cut the deficit to four at halftime.  The second half saw the Townies take the lead early and then it became a back and forth affair until about the 4 minute mark.  Down the stretch the Townies held it together to get their eighth league win.  Sophomore guard Bobby Perry led all scorers with 17.  Miller provided 11 huge points on nice runners in the lane and 3 three pointers.  Jared Awokande played a solid all around game, adding 12 points, 4 boards and 1 steal.  Senior Matt Phillips continues his solid play, adding 8 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals.  Matt has certainly begun to make his presence felt on the court.  EP must now focus on Friday night, when they host North Kingstown at 7:30.  The Townie JV team got back on the winning track, 44-37.  The team had a solid outing and showed better execution and overall intensity.  Joey Whalen had a game high 21 points.  Read a story about the game from the Pawtucket Times

1/27  TOWNIES SHAKE OFF RUST AND DEFEAT WOONSOCKET (56-40).   The Townies returned to action having last touched a ball last Friday vs. Smithfield.  The weather has been a tough situation to deal with and the team battle tonight to pick up a key league win.  The Townies had a season low 4 turnovers,  and once again played solid team defense.  Sophomore, guard Jared Awokande paced the Townies with 20 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Senior post players,  Matt Phillips and John Booker, combined for 11 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks.  The Townies will next play at league rival St. Ray's Academy on Tuesday, February 1st at 7:30.  The Townie JV team dropped a tough one 56-50.  The Townies were led by Joey Whalen's game high 18 points. Read a story about the game from the Pawtucket Times

1/26   TOLMAN GAME RESCHEDULED, BUT THE WEATHER CONTINUES TO CAUSE HAVOC WITH THE ATHLETIC SCHEDULE.    The Townies can't catch a break from the snow.  The team has been unable to practice or play since last Friday due to school cancellations and early dismissal today.  The varsity team will have a walk through/shoot-around tomorrow at 2:00 and then play Woonsocket at 7:30.  The Tolman game has been rescheduled for Monday, February 7th at 7:30.  This will cause the team to have a tough three game week.  Certainly this will be a major test for the team.

1/24  BLIZZARD KNOCKS OUT TOWNIES' GAME VS. TOLMAN.   Due to the snowfall over the weekend and school closings, the Townies game vs. Tolman, which was scheduled for Tuesday night will be postponed to a later date.  The Townies will return to action (hopefully) this Thursday night vs. Woonsocket at 7:30.

1/21  TOWNIES HEAD UP TO SMITHFIELD AND WIN ON THE ROAD (44-41).   The Townies once again managed to pull out a victory on the road in league play.  This marks the teams fourth league, road win in 5 games. The team has now won a season high, four straight games and looks to improve this coming week.  The Townies now stand at 6-2 in league play and improve to 10-2 overall.  The Townies were paced by senior John Booker's dominant inside performance.  "Book" had a team high 12 points to go with 14 rebounds, 5 blocks and 2 steals.  The Townies will have back to back home games next week.  Tuesday the Townies face the Tolman Tigers and Thursday face the Woonsocket Villa Novans.  Game time is 7:30.  The Townie JV team suffered their toughest loss of the season to a solid Sentinel jv team.  The Townie JV needs to regroup and get back their intensity and execution that they showed earlier in the season.

1/19  TOWNIES WIN AN UGLY ONE, (44-42) VS. CLASSICAL.   The Townies managed to improve their league record to 5-2, but were not impressive in their victory over Classical High School.  The Townies lacked focus and the intensity needed to dominate the game.  Too many times the team played in spurts, and this led to Classical staying in the game.  Sophomore guard Bobby Perry hit two key free throws to increase the lead to 5 with about 30 seconds left to play.  Classical scored and had a chance to tie the game or win it,  but threw away their inbounds pass with 3 seconds on the clock.  The Townies will return to action this Friday night at Smithfield High School, at 7:30.  The Townie JV team lost their contest to Classical 63-51.

1/14  TOWNIES PICK UP ANOTHER ROAD VICTORY (49-45), VS. CRANSTON EAST.  The Townies managed to win another road league game, their third out of four games, in this early part of the season.  Once again the defense managed to hold the opponent below 50 points.  Cranston East shot 36% from the field.  The Townies weren't so hot themselves, shooting 15% (3-20) from three point land.  EP had their second straight solid performance from the free throw line shooting 14-18 (78%).  The Townies were led by Bobby Perry's 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 steal performance.  Jared Awokande added 16 and John Booker had 7 points and 13 rebounds.  The Townies return to action Wednesday night at home vs. Classical High School.  The Townie JV squad lost a heart breaker 60-59.  The Townies were lead by Joey Whalen's new, season high 31 points.

1/11  TOWNIES BOUNCE BACK AND DEFEAT CRANSTON WEST (50-40).   In a very physical, rugged game the Townies overcame cold first half shooting (20%), and turned up the defensive pressure in the second half to pick up their third league win.  EP had a lot of good shots in the first half that just didn't drop.  The Townies had three starters in first half foul trouble, and trailed 21-15 at the half.  The Townies came out strong in the the second half, getting a few key baskets off West turnovers.  The Townies held the Falcons to 3 points over the first 8 minutes of the second half. EP had their best night of the season from the foul line as well, shooting 14-18 (78%), a huge improvement over previous games.  Sophomore guards, Bobby Perry and Jared Awokande paced the Townies with 13 and 12 points, respectively.  Senior forward Matt Phillips provided two key second half putbacks and added 6 rebounds.  The Townies continue league play Friday at Cranston East, at 7:00.  The Townie JV team, playing for the first time in a week, picked up a win 60-53.  The team was paced by Joey Whalen's season high 27 points.

1/7  TOWNIES DROP HARD FOUGHT BATTLE AT CENTRAL (78-69).  The Townies once again were on the road and attempted to win three straight league road games in Providence (Hope, Mt. Pleasant, and Central), a feat that hasn't happened at East Providence in a long time.  The Townies came up short though in a battle that had EP fighting back the entire game.  The Townies trailed at the the half 41-28, and managed to cut the lead to six in the second half.  However, the undefeated Knights continually beat the Townies on the offensive glass and had numerous put-backs.  The Townies hurt themselves shooting a dismal 15-29 (52%) from the free throw line.  The team was lead by sophomore guard Jared Awokande's game high 27 points, and a solid game from senior forward, Matt Phillips ( 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 blocks.)  The Townies return to action on Tuesday, the 11th at home vs. Cranston West.

1/4/05  TOWNIES PICK UP SECOND LEAGUE ROAD WIN, DEFEAT MT. PLEASANT      (51-50.)   The Townies again went into a tough place to pick up their second league win, at Mt. Pleasant.  The Townies started well and had a first half lead as big as 12.  Mt. Pleasant took advantage of some key Townie mistakes in the closing minutes to close the the lead to four.  Sophomore, Bobby Perry hit a half court shot as the buzzer sounded to give the Townies a seven point half time advantage.  The second half was a back and forth affair as the Townies couldn't hit key free throws to widen the margin.  Mt. Pleasant had a two shots to win the game and both fell short. The Townies were led by junior Dave Ferreira's 16 points and 6 rebounds, and bobby Perry's 16 points and seven boards.  EP now plays at Central on Friday the 7th at 7:30.  The Townie JV squad lost their game, although they had a three point lead with 7:00 minutes to go.  Too many turnovers and lack of execution led to their loss.

12/29- TOWNIE JV TEAM DEFEATS COVENTRY TO TAKE THIRD PLACE IN THE PILGRIM JV HOLIDAY CLASSIC.  Paced by the guard trio of Steve Silva, Drew Corria and Joe Whalen, the team overcame a slow start to defeat a tough Coventry team.  Sophomore guard, Drew Corria was named to the All-Tourney Team.  Sophomore forwards Steve Ramos and Eric Anthony provided the Townies with some tough rebounding to help seal the victory.

12/28-  TOWNIES DOMINATE IN SECOND GAME OF EP TEACHER'S AND COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION CLASSIC (64-35)  The Townies came out strong and opened an early lead using pressure defense to create easy scoring opportunities against the Mt. Hope Huskies.  The score at the half was 37-14.  The Townies had a solid team effort and were led by sophomore Jared Awokande's 14 points 6 assists and 5 steals.  The Townies will return to action on Tuesday Jan 4 at Mt. Pleasant.  The Townie JV squad dropped their semifinal game vs. Warwick Vets and will play in the consolation game at 3:00.

12/27-  TOWNIES WIN OPENER OF COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION CLASSIC (64-42).  The Townies turned in a solid second half of basketball to pull away from a feisty Ponaganset team.  The Townies led at the half 26-21, but had 20 first half turnovers.  They limited the turnovers to 3 in the second half and moved the ball well.  Defensively the Townies were very active in the second half which led to a few easy baskets.  The Townies were led by sophomore Bobby Perry's game high 20 points (4-8 from 3) and a solid all around game from senior captain Dave Caruolo (7 points, 6 boards).  The Townies will next play Mt. Hope tomorrow night at 7:30 at EPHS.  The Townie JV squad won their opening round game of the Pilgrim Holiday Classic, defeating Cranston East 57-53.  The Townies were paced by Jeremy Saunders' solid all around game.  They will play in the semi-finals tomorrow at 3:30 at Pilgrim HS.

12/22- TOWNIES BOUNCE BACK AND PICK UP BIG ROAD WIN VS. HOPE (52-49). The Townies traveled to Hope High School and pulled out a big win in a tough gym to even their league record at 1-1 and move to 3-1 overall.  The Townies made this one a lot tougher than it had to be, shooting a dismal 5-22 (22.7%) from the free throw line.   The Townies were paced by Bobby Perry's 15 points, and senior Matt Phillips turned in his best performance of the season scoring 12 points and pulling down a game high 11 rebounds.  The Townies will return to action on Monday, the 27th, in the Teacher's Credit Union Classic vs. Ponaganset at 7:30.   LaSalle and Mt. Hope will play in the opener at 6:00.  The Townie JV squad dropped a tough game 54-45.  The team was paced by Drew Corria's 13 points.  The JV team will be back in action in the Pilgrim JV Holiday tournament on Monday afternoon.

12/20-  TOWNIES AGAIN PLAY A GAME OF TWO HALVES AND COME UP SHORT AGAINST RIVAL LASALLE (54-50). The Townies managed to score only 19 first half points and trailed by ten at the break.  There was very little intensity and sense of urgency to the Townies in the first half.  The Townies picked it up in the second half and managed to take the lead at 41-40.  Lack of execution and a few key defensive lapses caused the Townies to give up the lead.  Sophomore guard Bobby Perry (17 points) had a shot to tie the game at 53 with about 10 seconds on the clock, but it fell short.  The Townies have to get back to work to get ready for Wednesday's game at Hope.  The Townie JV squad picked up their second win with an impressive 65-56 game.  The Townies were again led by Joey Whalen's game high 22.

TOWNIES OVERCOME SLOW FIRST HALF TO PICK UP SECOND WIN (52-47)-  East Providence only scored 19 first half points, on 25% shooting, but held Warwick Vets to 21.  In the second half the Townies turned up the defensive pressure and it led to a few easy baskets.  John Booker had a monster game and came up 1 block short of a triple double.  "Book" had 10 points 14 rebounds and 9 blocks, including a crowd pleasing dunk.  Billy Miller also turned in a solid performance adding a team high 15 points, on 67% shooting.  The Townies didn't help themselves from the free throw line shooting a cold 57% (11-19).  The Townies get back into action next monday against league rival LaSalle.  This will be the 1AA opener for both teams.  Game time is 7:30.  The Townie JV team picked up their first win of the year 61-44.  Joey Whalen led all scorers with 24 and Drew Corria played a solid overall game.

TOWNIES WIN SEASON OPENER V. TIVERTON (65-58).  East Providence got their season off to a solid start by defeating a tough Tiverton team.  The Townies trailed at the half 26-25, but started the second half strong and took the lead and never gave it back.  The Townies shot 54% (13-24) from three point range, lead by sophomore guard Jared Awakande's game high 5 threes.  Jared lead the Townies with 17 points to go along with 2 rebounds and two steals.  Kirk Denham came off the bench to provide the team with a second half spark, contributing 8 points and key rebounds.  The Townies next play Warwick Vets, Monday the 13th at 7:30 at EP.

TOWNIES BEGIN 2004-2005 SEASON SATURDAY DECEMBER 11TH V. TIVERTON HIGH SCHOOL (@ EPHS, 4:30 tip-off)   The team has been working hard and preparing to start a new season.  Overall the team is very young, with not a lot of varsity experience.  The Townies are eager to start the season, and the outlook is promising.
