Nov.15,2006  vs S.Kingstown (Semis)Scores:25-23,25-23,25-15
Tonight the Townies traveled to CCRI to face The Rebels. The Townies defeated the Rebels in the Finals last year. Tonight, although the Townies were a bit nervous, the Townies were able to make it through  behind the blocking of Kelly Clancy and the hitting of Starsha Tunstall.

Nov.10,2006  vs Coventry (Quartefinals)Scores:25-21,25-21,25-18
The Townies traveled to Coventry to play their first ever Quarterfinal away. The Oakers as of late have been playing and so are the Townies. This is the making of an excellent match. The Townies with only 4 service errors on 74 serves added 43 kills out of 94 attacks. We had a kill percentage of 44. The Townies played a near perfect game

Nov.6,2006  vs Pilgrim Scores:25-15,25-12,25-10
The Townies hosted Pilgrim in the preliminaries tonight and played a much better game in terms of hustling and court awareness. The Townies took a while to get going in teh first set but took control the rest of the match.

Nov.1,2006  vs Lincoln Scores:25-18,25-9,25-10
The Townies hosted the Lions tonight and and being senior night the setting was great for competition. The first set the lions hung with the Townies but in the second and third set the Townies pulled away comfortably.

Oct.30,2006  vs Cumberland Scores:25-4,25-9,26-24
The Townies traveled to Cumberland to face a rebuilding Clipper. The Played strong and consistent. Hopefully it is a step in the right direction.

Oct.26,2006  vs LaSalle Scores: 24-26,25-14,25-12,25-12
The Townies hosted the Rams this evening. In our first meeting the rams defeated the Townies 3-0 without the services of Starsha and Jill. The first set, one could see that the Townies were tentative; but in the next three games the Townies played like the Townies of the past. We served tough and our serve receive was on the money.

Oct.24,2006  vs Woonsocket Scores:25-22,25-16,25-15
The Townies hosted the Villanovans tonight. Right off the first ball the Townies missed a big opportunity to set the tone. The townies struggled with their serves by committing 6 service errors. In the second and third however, the Townies settled down and played a much better match.

Oct.19,2006  vs Burrillville Scores:25-15,25-20,25-13
Everyone as of late are after the Townies. The Broncos are no different. They were excited because of the scores they have been reading in the papers. But tonight the Townies were having none of that. We passed well and also serve well.

Oct.17,2006  vs Classical Scores:25-19,25-12,13-25,22-25,11-15
The Townies traveled to Classical this afternoon to face the Purple  at their house for the start of the second round. The Townies did not have the services of Kelly Clancy  due to illness and Briana Am due to injury. Karissa Goad was brought up from JV to fill the spot. After leading 2-0 the Townies completely broke down and the Purple toyed with the Townies throughout the last three games.

Oct.12,2006  vs PonagansetScores:25-10,25-13,25-7
The Townies tonight hosted Ponaganset and we  did play well tonight. We played at our level and that is all we could ask of them.

Oct.10,2006  vs Cranston East Scores:25-19,25-16,25-16
The Townies traveled to Cranston East to face a much improved team from last year. Although the Bolts switched to the Southern Division the rivalry still continues. The Townies with a new look hopes to find the chemistry that is terribly needed. With new faces on the floor we seemed to gel better and looked much quicker. Much work is needed but it is a start.

Oct.9,2006  Koch Eye Tourney
The  Townies who are the defending champs of the trophy, were not able to bring it back home this year. The townies played hard but the young team made too many errors at key times that could have made a difference in the outcome.

Oct.5,2006  vs Coventry Scores:25-21,25-22,17-25,8-25,12-15
The Townies hosted the Oakers tonight, who I am sure remember the lost at the hands of the Townies in the 2005 Semis. Two weeks ago the Oakers had no problem with the Townies at the Boat World Invitation. Tonight the Townies Played a near perfect game in sets 1 and 2. But the pressure was too much for this young team.

Oct.3,2006  vs Lincoln;Scores:25-23,25-13,25-21
The Townies traveled to Lincoln tonight. In the past three years at the Lions den the Lions have taken the Townies to five sets. Again the Townies failed to play well. it must be that we just don't play  well in that gym.

Sep.29,2006  vs Barrington;Scores:25-12,25-11,25-9
the Townies hosted the Eagles tonight. The Townies hope  to improve in every department as the season goes on. Tonight they showed a great deal of enthusiasm and team work.

Sep.27,2006  vs Cumberland;Scores:25-17,25-9,25-7
The Townies hosted the Clippers tonight. Coming off a big loss the Townies hope to bounce back and get on the winning track again. The Townies came out flat in the first but gained composure in the 2nd and 3rd sets.

Sep.25,2006  vs LaSalle;Scores:25-20,25-17,25-19
The Townies traveled to LaSalle to face the undefeated Rams who by the end of the night kept their undefeated record intact. The Townies had to many errors. A total of 16 hitting errors, 18 receive errors,18 ball handling errors and 7 service errors. The Rams were a good squad but the Townies gave them too much help.

Sep.21,2006  vs Woonsocket;Scores:25-11,25-20,25-23
The Townies traveled to Novan Country. The Townies had to show some improvement from the last Match and they did in the first set. However in the second and third sets they fell back into old habits.

Sep.19,2006  vs Burrillville;Scores:25-19,25-11,25-16
The Townies hosted the Broncos. The hoping to use the last match vs Classical as a stepping stone to improve on their previous weakness, fell short. Not on the wining department but on the performance. The Townies could do anything right but somehow pulled off the win.

Sep.14,2006  vs Classical;Scores:25-21,25-12,25-18
The hosted the 1-2 Purple who is under a new coach and much improved. The Purple match well with the Townies and and the difference will be in who executes better. The Townies came out strong with a 17-7 lead only to let the purple get as close as 19-18. However unlike the previous three matches the Townies played a much better match with much improved passing.

Sep.12,2006  vs Ponaganset 25-14,25-11,25-5
The Townies traveled to Ponaganset. The Townies again struggled with serve  receive and hitting. Time will tell as to how much time it will take the Townies to improve in these two areas.

Sep.8,2006  vs East Greenwich 14-25,22-25,25-8,25-17,15-4
The Townies Hosted the Avengers tonight. The young squad of the Townies faced a hungry Avenger team. The Townies came out flat and fell behind in the first two games. However in the second and third they played a bit more enthusiasm but in the fourth we just couldn't receive serves.

Sep.6,2006  vs North Kingstown 20-25,25-22,17-25,17-25
The Townies traveled to North Kingstown this evening to Skipper country. Opening the 2006 season with a  cross over  against the #1 team in the Southern Division. This past weekend the Townies held their own but showed signs of weakness in the receiving department. We struggled with our passing to say the least. Tonight the passing game was very poor especially during serve receiving. The Skippers did a good job blocking the Townies. Along with their blocking the Townies gave away 42 points in unforced errors.
