Townie Volleyball Camp 2011
Camp 1: July 11-15 / Camp 2: July 18-22
The Townie Volleyball Summer Camp will open for its 17th season. Our commitment to teach the members the basics of volleyball is second to none. Our staff includes EPHS’s Coaches as well as College coaches and players.
Time 8:30 - 2PM
 

Director: Luis Carvalho-Head Women's Volleyball Coach-Rhode Island College

Coach Carvalho has been named RI Male coach of the Year in 1993 by the RIIAA and named High School Girls Coach of the Year by Words Unlimited in 1994 and 2000. In addition, Carvalho was named coach of the year by The RI Coaches Association in:2005, Fall 2004, 2000, 1998, 1997, 1993, 1992, 1990, 1989 , 1987 and 1986. In 2000 Girls Coach of the Year (Alice Sullivan Award) In 2007 Coach Carvalho was inducted in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Hall of Fame.
Coach Carvalho was named coach of the year in the Little East Conference for 2009

Students will learn the proper skills and techniques and will feature instruction in the following aspects of the game:
  • Bump Skills
  • Setting Skills
  • Hitting Skills
  • Blocking Skills
  • Defensive Skills
  • 4-2, 5-1 & 6-2 Systems
  • Offensive Strategies

Students will also participate in Camp Tournaments and will receive a Camp Jersey.

Players are instructed to bring:
  • Lunch
  • Water Bottle
  • Knee Pads
  • Bathing Suit (optional)
  • Towel

Our facilities feature:
  • (2) Gymnasiums
  • Indoor Pool

Tuition:$195.00
Application deadline: June 19th, 2009
 No refunds after June 17th
Open to students in grades 7-12.
