Season Preview
After compiling 47 wins, a state title and two regular season championships in Division III over the past two seasons, East Providence High will return to Division II after a fifteen year absence.  The move presents some challenges for the Townies, as they return a host of proven players, but also some big question marks as well.  Anchoring the returning corps of players is senior captain Tyler Elmasian and junior defenseman Bryan Soderberg.  Both players are expected to carry the bulk of the scoring for the Townies this season.  Seniors Zach Palumbo and Matt DeFontes will bolster the blue line and seniors Zach Kazarian, Tony Galvao, Bryan Peterson, and Nick Lundstrom will be counted on to provide some offensive punch.  Big things are expected from junior defenseman Kyle Croke and the Townies look to junior wing Jared Featherstone to have a break out season.  Nick Alix, Jesse Joy, and Joe Correia will round out the forward lines and Alix is expected to make an offensive impact this year..  In net the Townies return All-Star Cameron Ford and junior Kyle Bravo.  Bravo is coming off of an outstanding summer hockey campaign and is expected to see increased time this season.

There are a host of newcomers to the Townie Hockey squad and each will be expected to contribute if the Townies are to be successful this season.  Freshmen Scott Lincoln and Mitchell Palumbo should make key contributions and freshmen net minders Emily Klucznik and Shayne Labao provide good depth on the goal line.  Sophomore forward Stephen Morevec should also provide needed depth up front.
